Don Jackson

Don Jackson
"The most important thing I learned while serving on a hospital foundation board in the Central Valley for more than 30 years is that hospitals have a never-ending need for improvements to remain on the cutting edge of medicine. My first assignment as a new member of the Dominican Hospital Foundation Board of Directors was to serve on the President's Task Force. We reviewed the needs of the hospital and prioritized the top 10 items that would provide the greatest benefit to the residents of Santa Cruz County. I have observed the progress made and the addition of new priorities to meet the medical needs of the community. It is an ongoing process and requires our support. I have always paid special attention to how well the charitable organizations I have been involved with are run. I observe their ability to raise and manage money, to invest carefully, and spend wisely. Dominican has met my requirements for outstanding performance, which is why I have chosen to leave a legacy gift to the Dominican Hospital Foundation through my trust to help future generations, while continuing to support Dominican on an annual basis for its current needs. I have shared this plan with my family, and they recognize the importance of enabling Dominican to offer the most advanced equipment and programs so that the highest level of care is provided in our community."
